Multi-color Silk PLA is a type of 3D printing filament that combines the properties of Silk PLA (glossy and silky finish) with the ability to print in multiple colors
Feature:
Multi-color Silk PLA filaments are made by blending different colors of Silk PLA into one filament. As a result, the printed object has a smooth transition between the colors, giving it a more natural and realistic look.
- Multi-color Silk PLA filaments are available in a range of color combinations, making it possible to create objects with a wide variety of color schemes and patterns.
- The silk finish of the filament gives the printed object a glossy and reflective surface, which can enhance the color and make the object look more vibrant and lifelike.
- Multi-color Silk PLA is easy to print with and has good layer adhesion. It is less prone to warping than some other 3D printing filaments.
- Multi-color Silk PLA is made from biodegradable and renewable resources such as cornstarch and sugarcane, making it an environmentally friendly option.
However, it can be more brittle than regular PLA and may require higher printing temperatures.
Multi-color Silk PLA is a popular choice for 3D printing enthusiasts who want to create objects with a high-quality finish and a unique look. It is particularly useful for creating decorative objects, such as vases, sculptures, and figurines, that require multiple colors to achieve the desired effect.

FAQ
Q1: Why is the silk filament doesn't suitable to print at a high speed?
A1: There are 2 main reasons. First, the silk melting flow rate is slower than the regular PLA. When it is under printing the melting speed may can't reach the extruding speed. Second, when it is under high-speed printing then the silk-like texture of the print's surface will be lost.
Q2: Sometimes the prints appear with some unexpected color layers, how to avoid this?
A2: It could be the filament lines loose before printing or the retract setting was incorrect.
You need to make sure the filament lines are tight before printing. For the retract setting, we suggest you do a retract test then you can get the best printing result.
