GratKit and Industry 4.0
Industrial 4.0, also known as the 4th Industrial revolution, is now and, is to revolutionize the automation, monitoring, and analysis of supply chains through smart technology. Additive manufacturing, or 3D printing, is a key technology driving industry 4.0.
3D printing was initially used as a fast prototyping tool or simply used to print toys and anime models. While, GratKit is able to provide market with industrial 3D printing solutions, currently in industries like dental, medical, jewelry and industrial manufacturing. With the technology solutions by GratKit, 3D printing can now offer a broader range of applications, from mass customization to distributed manufacturing.
Brand history
In 2016, a team of engineers majored in polymer materials was formed GratKit Workroom in Guangdong, China. The team started work with in FDM 3D printing solutions. After months, the team had to stop with FDM 3D printing when they realize the fact that FDM printed models were too rough and fragile to put in use.
In 2017, GratKit Workroom switched to researching photopolymer resins for 3D printers. And the Workroom was able to produce basic tough resin and water washable resin for printing 3D figures and models since 2018.
By then, GratKit Workroom had foresaw 3D printing to play a much bigger role in industry 4.0. Yet neither FDM nor photopolymer was competent for real industrial use at that time. So the Workroom set up a mission which was to work on on solutions to gratify demand of smart manufacturing. GratKit continued research for more tough and durable 3D printing technology.
In the middle of 2019, GratKit Workroom started providing customers with dental and jewelry resins.
In 2020, a team of resin 3D printer technicians joined GratKit Workroom, and started working out 3D printers for industrial appliance to gratify demand of smart manufacturing. And GratKit Smart Equipment Co., Ltd. was officially registered as a company. Meantime, GratKit factory was set up in Yangchun, Guangdong.
By the end of 2021, GratKit were able to offering customers with resin 3D printers and 3D print resins for dental, jewelry, medical and industrial uses. Therefore, that was still not enough to meet the goal of gratifying demand of smart manufacturing.
At the beginning of 2022, a team of technicians with rich industrial 3D printing experience joined GratKit. That provides GratKit with continuous carbon fibre 3D printing technology. And GratKit started offering customers with continuous carbon fiber 3D printers and carbon fiber filament. Together durable light weight models and components could be 3D printed.
Till 2022, GratKit was finally formed with research centers in Shenzhen and Wuhan, factory in Yangchun. We are always in charge to gratify demand of smart manufacturing
